‘RIPTIDE’ AND ‘RAPIDS’ SET TO CAUSE RIPPLES AS THE WAVE’S NEXT TWO SLIDES ARE REVEALED
Details of two more slides that are guaranteed to thrill and excite visitors to The Wave when it opens this summer were announced today.
The Rapids is a roller-coaster on water that uses powerful jets to hurl riders uphill before dropping them down through tunnels and around tight corners. At 174m long, The Rapids is the longest ride at The Wave and if you’re a younger rider looking to be accompanied by a parent or just need a little encouragement from a friend, it can be ridden in tandem with a partner on an inflatable tyre.
There’s little time for you to catch your breath before braving The Riptide. Riders are launched off one of the highest points at The Wave and swung back and forth almost vertically.
The announcement of The Rapids and Riptide follow last month’s unveiling of Crestar and Cascade. The final two slides will be announced in the coming weeks along with details of The Wave’s pools, facilities and a dedicated splash zone that is set to delight the smallest of ‘Wave Riders’.
