Opened in 2019 and located in the heart of Coventry city centre, The Wave is one of the UK’s largest and newest indoor waterparks.
Designed to offer a high octane aquatic experience, The Wave combines adrenaline-fuelled attractions with opportunities for children and families to build essential swimming and water confidence skills within a safe, highly active and enjoyable environment.
At the centre of the action are six epic, precision-engineered slides designed to excite every thrill seeker. From the disappearing floor of The Torrent, to the exhilarating plunge pool finish of The Cascade, and the high-speed rollercoaster twists of The Rapids, every ride delivers a memorable experience packed with excitement and energy.
But the slides are only one part of a much wider aquatic adventure. The Wave offers a complete indoor waterpark experience where families can explore the relaxing Lazy River, experience the excitement of the Wave Pool, or enjoy The Reef — a vibrant interactive splash zone filled with sprays, jets and mini slides designed especially for younger visitors and budding swimmers.
The Wave is also the perfect environment for children and young people to learn to swim, and gain essential water confidence while also having fun. Through active play and immersive aquatic experiences, young visitors naturally build water familiarity, confidence and coordination in a setting that feels exciting rather than instructional. It’s an ideal stepping stone into swimming participation and early-stage swimming development.
Little whipper-splashers can also learn to swim with Aquarius Swim School, who deliver swimming lessons using both our dedicated 25m Swimming Pool and the Wave Pool within the waterpark itself.
Lead by a team of expert instructors, the Aquarius programme offers engaging learning environment, where children can develop essential swimming skills, build lifelong water confidence and become comfortable in different aquatic settings — all whilst having fun!
Beyond the fun, The Wave encourages healthy lifestyles through fantastic physical activity, swimming, splashing and exploring the attractions helps children stay active, develop coordination and burn energy in a way they’ll absolutely love. In fact, your kids may have so much fun they’ll be begging not to go home.
The Wave Pool, which churns an incredible 20 million litres of water every day, gives guests the chance to ride the waves before drifting gently around the Lazy River for a more relaxed experience. Meanwhile, younger spill seekers can enjoy The Reef — a colourful splash zone at the heart of the waterpark that combines play, movement and confidence-building water interaction.
The experience extends far beyond the waterpark itself. Guests looking to unwind can visit the luxurious Mana Spa for relaxing treatments using premium products, while fitness enthusiasts can enjoy the state-of-the-art 120-station gym overlooking the waterpark. The facility also includes a 25m swimming pool, squash courts and a dedicated class studio, making The Wave a destination that truly has something for everyone.
Recognised as one of the UK’s most accessible leisure facilities, The Wave was awarded the prestigious Leading Edge Award by the World Waterpark Association for its commitment to inclusivity and accessibility.
Visitors can take advantage of discounted parking at Salt Lane Car Park, located just a short walk away, while Coventry Train Station is only 10 minutes from the venue, making The Wave easily accessible for families and visitors travelling from across the region.
So grab your towels, trunks and rubber rings — it’s time to ‘Ride The Wave’.
