We pride ourselves on offering access for all. All of our centres provide accessible facilities for disabled customers with a commitment to continuously improve the accessibility both in and around our centres to ensure they meet the needs of our customers.

All of our staff are trained in disability awareness. For customers who require additional accessibility, The Wave is equipped with the features listed below:

  • Hearing Loop
  • Assistance Dog Amenities (Water, others)
  • Changing Places Toilet (CPT)

  • Accessible Toilet with hoist

  • Lift (located both on Lifestyles side before the stairs, to the right, and Waterpark side before stairs up to changing rooms)

  • Pool Hoist (by Swimming Pool, Spa Pool and the Lazy River in the Waterpark)

  • Large Directional Signage
  • Wheelchair Accessible
  • Wheelchair Ramp (From The Reef to first floor of The Waterpark)
  • For families and individuals who have complex needs and disabilities, quiet time sessions are available at both Centre AT7, and The Wave, and are ideal for those who prefer swimming in a calm and relaxed environment.

For Health and Safety reasons you must be able to walk up and down the stairs unaided to access the slides at The Wave.

  1. Below you can find more information about The Wave/Alan Higgs Centre and venue access.
  2. Click on ‘Plan a visit’. If you don’t have an account, sign up and complete your accessibility profile.
  3. Share your access needs, requirements, and what help you may need.
  4. We will get notified so the team can ensure they are prepared to greet you and have what you need ready.
  5. On the day of the visit, once you are at the venue click on ‘Arrive’. We will get a notification and be with you shortly.
